Release

September 14, 2026 — Sioux Falls, S.D.

After years of private ownership by Josh and Christie Aberson, the B&G Milkyway at 69th & Cliff has been gifted to Celebrate Community Church and is now owned through a wholly owned subsidiary operating as a ministry of the church.

The gift represents a significant change in ownership, but for customers, the B&G they know and love is staying the same. The location will remain a B&G Milkyway franchise, with the same name, menu, employees and day-to-day operations under General Manager David Hyde.

For the Aberson family, the decision grew from a desire to surrender the business to a greater purpose and trust God with what could come next.

“We believed God was asking us to give the store to Him wholly and completely and place it at the center of His church,” said Josh Aberson. “For us, this gift became an act of submission and surrender—and an expectation that God can do far more through it than we could ever accomplish on our own.”

Celebrate Community Church sees the business not primarily as a source of revenue, but as a new avenue for ministry: creating meaningful employment, serving the community and supporting local needs and Kingdom causes.

One of the most significant commitments of the gift is that 100% of the profits generated by the business will be directed toward specific Kingdom Causes and needs within the community.

“This B&G can become another place where we serve people, build relationships, create meaningful employment opportunities and demonstrate the love of Jesus in our city,” said Celebrate Church’s Lead Pastor, Noah Rollins. “It gives us a creative new way to expand ministry beyond the walls of our church building.”

The B&G Milkyway at 69th & Cliff will continue operating normally, with no planned changes for customers or employees. Gift cards will remain valid, and employment opportunities will continue to be available.
