Celebrate on a Mission is to BE JESUS in our local community. No matter how you attend Celebrate Church, you and your family can get involved.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
FAMILYFEST
On Saturday, July 23 Celebrate will be one of the many stops on the FamilyFest Fun Cruise! This is an outreach opportunity where we can love on all the families who stop by.
How can you be a part? Come join the fun! We're offering yard games as well as a live nativity that includes a yak and camels! Also, families can't cruise without FOOD and FUN so we're providing lunch from 11am-1pm. We're looking for people of all ages to serve in one-hour shifts. Bring your sunscreen!
What is FamilyFest?
FamilyFest is an annual festival, drawing families from Sioux Falls and surrounding communities for a day of fun and learning. The daylong, outdoor summer event provides current and future parents an opportunity to discover resources that will strengthen, enlighten, encourage, teach and entertain themselves and their children ranging in age from babies and toddlers to high school age students and beyond. They are dedicated to the success and celebration of the family with this active and enthusiastic event in an environment that is fun and entertaining for the whole family.

COMPLETED OPPORTUNITIES
"Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him." (Proverbs 127:3)
In May & June 2022, we had the privilege of partnering with several local organizations such as Dakota Alliance Soccer, Scheels, Feeding SD, and many others to bring FREE soccer to the students at Terry Redlin Elementary! "When kids participate in organized activities outside of school, they learn valuable skills such as self-confidence, accountability and responsibility — all of which can translate into other aspects of their lives, including their academic careers and relationships with others." (Kelly Sprecher, Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation)
“Those who are gracious to the poor lend to the Lord, and the Lord will fully repay them.” (Proverbs 19:17)
In December 2021, we were able to bless the residents of the Glory House by providing a Walmart gift card to each of the 90 residents! This enabled them to purchase winter accessories, hygiene products, clothing, etc.
Fun fact: the Glory House asked for $10 per resident. We didn’t publish the ask to our people – we simply asked for donations that would bless their socks off. In the end, we were able to give a $50 card to each resident!
“Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” (Philippians 2:4)
In August 2021, Terry Redlin Elementary School invited us to participate in their Open House. We were able to provide a ‘Celebrate Welcome’ as well as hand out a treat to all attendees!
“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.” (Hebrews 10:24)
In June 2021, we had the opportunity to BE JESUS in our community by blessing local law enforcement with a meal. Over 200 individuals were served a steak dinner with dessert!
“Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of ‘sacrifice’—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets.” (Hebrews 13:16)
In April 2021, Terry Redlin Elementary asked for help in providing two books to each 4th and 5th grade student for them to read during the summer. The students each selected their books, and then we published the need. Celebrators wasted no time, and within a few days, all 124 students were sponsored!
“I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink.” (Matthew 25:35)
In April 2021, approximately 100 Celebrators blanketed Sioux Falls and blessed every construction worker they could find with a drink and a snack – just to say ‘thank you’ for building our community. Over 850 sites, with 2500 workers, were visited!
“I was hungry and you fed me.” (Matthew 25:35)
In February 2021, Celebrate Church showed up in a big way through two serving opportunities: collecting food and donations for Feeding South Dakota, and serving at amazing local organizations such as The Banquet, Union Gospel Mission, and Feeding South Dakota. Over 9,000 pounds of food was donated!
